This new beginning celebrated the birth centenary of our honourable Prime Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru. The fast train began its journey from New Delhi to Gwalior which was later extended till Jhansi. Gradually, the train very soon started covering distance up to Bhopal and hence, came to be known as Bhopal Shatabdi express.

There are few great advantages which the travellers can avail only in Shatabdi Express trains. The best one is that this train usually stops at platform No. 1 at most of the stations.
